That simple little neurotransmitter is what signals a motivational salience that propels and pushes us towards sometimes odd behavior in hopes of a perceived outcome. It’s the fuel that keeps us banging our heads against the wall. It’s a gift - and it’s also the reason we think we can be professional wrestlers. It’s beautiful, and it’s stupid.
